The 2022 AIPM meeting was held on Tuesday July 12th in Washington D.C. Marriott Marquis Hotel Tulip Room. During the meeting our 2022 Excellence in Medical Physics Award winner presented a talk, followed by an award ceremony. AAPM president Dr. Ehsan Samei then gave a presentation to the audience, and a business meeting followed.
Our 2022 Excellence in Medical Physics Award winner was Dr. Meysam Tavakoli from the Radiation Oncology Dept. at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Pittsburgh, PA. The award was given to him by Dr. Ali Fatemi, AIPM president.
